Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Balls

Whether you’re about to workout, go for a hike, or just need an afternoon snack, these no-bake protein balls are for you. They basically taste like cookie dough…

Ingredients

100 g oats

140 g almonds

60 g dark chocolate chips or cacao nibs

25 g cacao powder

25 g chia seeds

8 pitted Medjool dates

60 g peanut butter

2 Tbsp. maple syrup

1 pinch sea salt

2 Tbsp. hot water

1 scoop chocolate Vega® Essentials or Vega® Clean* Protein

Preparation

  1. Add all the dry ingredients into a food processor and blend for a few seconds (or until coarse)
  2. Add the dates, peanut butter, and maple syrup
  3. Process until combined, scraping sides as required. Depending on how sticky your dates are, if the mixture feels too dry, add hot water and adjust until you have a slightly sticky consistency
  4. Roll the mixture into approximately 24 balls
  5. Coat the extra cacao powder, or any other toppings you fancy
  6. Store the balls in an air tight container in the fridge for up to one week, or in the freezer for up to two weeks
